  • tourist visa for spouse when married to a US citizen

This is my first post.. And before hand I want to thank you all for taking the time to read my post.... Here is my question I'm a US born citizen and I currently live here in Mexico, I just got married about 3 weeks ago and I want to know what would be the best way to file for a tourist visa for my wife... We hope to attend my brother's graduation this coming May in Florida. I've read that there are possibilities that the visa application gets rejected because the immigration officer may think the applicant may stay in the US. My wife has never been to the US. Any tips or anything I should know about would really help before I file here application thanks by the way were not planing on moving to the US since I have a good business here in Mexico another thing I have dual citizenship and I got married as a US national.

It is very likely that she will be denied because, like you already know, the assumption of being an immigrant.

She can try one time, no harm , only application money is at stake.
If she can stress that you are a dual citizen settled in mexico ( take mexico passport and proof of your business), she MAY succeed.

If denied, the only way for her to go to US would be to get a green card through you. And then she will have to maintain that green card by living in US.
