  • US to Canada

    Hi,

How a US green card holder can stay as permanent resident in Canada ? and if I want to bring my parents in Canada then what will be the procedure ?

Actually, getting citizenship of US takes at least 3 years if you are married with a US citizen then few months more to get passport in hands. I want my parents to live with me and another 1 year will take for their immigration visa process. I am not wrong..

So I am looking to select Canada as an option if that process is early.

For canada PR , US PRs are not treated special. You have to apply as per your nationality. You have to explore options for canada PR on cic.gc.ca there are several ways to immigrate to canada , you have to see which one suits you and which one is the quickest.
Once you get a PR for canada, your parents can apply for a supervisa which can make them live in canada for upto 2 years continuously.
