applying for B2 visa for parents

Hi,

My H1-B visa is expiring next month end and I am planning to bring my parents to US on B2 visa. My visa renewal process have started and I haven't recieved a petition number from USCIS yet. Is it ok to start my parents visa processing now, or will it get rejected because my visa is expiring soon? Please advise.

it does not take long to apply and get a decision on a visitor visa, there is no 'processing". So, just wait for your H-1 renewal.
