H1B and Permanent Residency sponsorship by family owned business

My father is a green card holder. He will be opening up his own business. The business will be related to my major. I have a Master's degree and currently reside in US. Can my father hire me to work for his business and sponsor me for H1B or even for a permanent residency? Will the fact that he is my father make things difficult or suspicious for USCIS?

Yes, it is possible provided you are eligible for that job and job requirement is legitimate. In other words, other than the fact that he is your father, everything else should be the same.

Additionally, he would have to complete Form I-864, Affidavit of Support, for you because he owns at least 5% of the business.
