Parents different travel dates?

Parents were planning to travel together and visit me in US. So we mentioned they would be traveling together in Ds 160. But due to some circumstances, father plans to travel earlier than mother, but both would still travel back on the same date.
What questions are likely in this scenario at the port of entry for father, and for mother?
