  • father needs visa, mother doesnt

I have a small confusion about applying for my parents' visa. my mother visited us alone in 2002 dec, she had got a 10 yrs multiple entry visa. now i am planning to invite both my parents in coming march.

does my mother need a visa interview appt this time?
if not, while applying for visa should my father mention about my mother travelling along with him?
if yes, has he to take her passport to visa office while attending the interview?
please provide me information regarding this situation.
    thank u

    Hi!

    Hi!

YOur mom doesn't need the visa appointment she can travel as she has a 10 M visa.

Yes your dad can state that your mom is accompanying him and in case asked why she is not there can state that she has a visa already issued.

I am not too sure if he need to carry her pasport, may be just a copy of it may not hurt.

      again doubts

      Hi,
Thanks for prompt reply. i just have few more doubts regarding the matter.
while filling up the visa application will my father have to mention my mother travelling with him?
shall i have to mention my mother in the I-134, letter to consulate and invitation letter?
just little tense that this matter may get my father's visa rejected.

      kindly advise.

      one more thing...

my father is getting his passport this week end, today the interview dates opened up for jan at chennai and they are getting filled up so fast, by the time i will be able to book an appt, it will be next tuesday or wednesday.
are there chances that dates in feb will open up as soon as jan dates are filled up.
