My parents went for Visa interview on 12/08/05 @ Chennai and they did get VISA.
Here are the questions asked, as per my dad. They did not ask any questions to my mom.
1. Why are u going?
2. What does your son do? Where does he work? How much he makes?
3. How much pension you get (My father is a retired headmaster)? And how much property you have?
4. Do you have any other children? What are they doing?
Not even single document were asked to show!! including I-134. The entire thing is based on Visa Application. I have spent lot of time with my dad in phone preparing them for interview.
My dad also mentioned the two interviews before him were rejected. So, he was tensed. (They were rejected because first family (Visitor visa) said their yearly income is Rs.15,000/- instead of monthly income and second person is for H4 Visa, CO asked what is your mother-in-law's name, she couldn't tell name).
I will update length of VISA, once they receive passport.
I have also sponsored my in-law's this week 12/05/2005 and they did get VISA.
