How old the doc should be?

Hi,
I am sponsering my parents. They have not scheduled the date yet. I have prepared the all the documents and i am going to send them next week .
They have all their documents ready. so, they will go to Ahmedabad VFS office to get the date of interview. They are planning to come USA on 2nd week of May. they are also planning to apply for Canada's visitor isa after they get USA's visa.

My question is,

Is that ok, if they submit the documents in january to get the date of interview, even if they mentioned in DS-156 that they are intend to come on 2nd week of May?

is that ok, if they get the us visa earlier and then come to US on May?

My documents are dated of 1 st week of December. How old the documents should be for getting visa?

Hi!
If you are sending the documents now but they attend the interview in May then it's like 5 months. I am not too sure. I would prefer to send 1-2 months old documents.

However I think the documents that really concern would be your bank statements and pay stubs, rest I think should be ok.

It is better to send fresh documents.
