Birth Certificate and Marriage Certificate

Hi,

My in-laws are going for the visa interview in India. I am sending them the notarized copies of the birth certificates (my wife's as well as mine) and also the notarized copy of the marriage certificates. Will it be fine or should I send them the originals?

Who notarized the documents? If notarized and authenticated by an Indian consulate, or with Apostilles, they may be okay. But if notarized only by a notary person or an attorney, they may not be acceptable to the Consulate.
