i have went through the site and it was very informative for a fresher like me. i would like to thank the adminstator for the good job they r doing......

i am doctor presently working as Asst Prof in KMC, manipal, india. i have a bond for 2 yrs in the college. i have given my USMLE I and II and taking Step III in feb 2006.

i have applied for the interview in delhi embassy on jan 6 in the TTS system. i am basically from Tamil Nadu. i want to know will visa counseller entertain my application. i couldnt change the dates to chennai embassy as i couldnt get dates in chennai in the first week of Jan.

pls tell me if i will have any prob....and if they ask me in the intervies that y i havent applied from Chennai....how to give the reply.....

do not want to disappoint u but I think they ask u to go back to Chennai consulate. my friend's FIL had been to Delhi becoz he didn't get dates in Chennai, they asked him to attend at Cehnnai.

i mailed the TTS services regarding the same though. they have replied me saying that According to the US website announcement....they will honour all the appointments given by the TTS website....

lets see how it goes....

i am not that hard pressed to go to US this time itself.....

If they so that i will have to apply from Chennai....then will it be counted as rejection....

what happened in your frnd case.....

I am not too sure, but I don't think they even looked at his documents. But it was just a waste of time and effort to go there and get back with no results.

after ur advice i asked my dad to take the date form VFS in chennai and he did get a date in jan somehow but u must have known that recently they have cancelled all the appointments in jan now......

Can i use this reason now......

My frnd recently applied but it was in october. he is from karnataka but applied in delhi...and he got 10 yrs multiple entry.....

which visa counseller did ur frnd got at the time of interview....

Yes I am aware of the delay/reschedules happening at Chennai Consulate. Thats really sad.

Well which visa did your friend apply for? Well this person is my friend's father-in-law. He is basically from Chennai residing in Bangalore, Karnataka. I believe he tried at the Delhi Consulate.
