Parents Visitor Visa Rejected

My parents apllied for visitor visa in march 2005.My husband sponsored them.He is a green card holder.It was just a month that he got his Gc then.They had a singapore visa stampped and were gonna visit my brother in singapore.Their US visa got rejected.CO asked my mom how long shes gonna stay in the US.My mom said 6months dad interrupted and said 2month cos the invitation letter said 2months.My mom didnt know abt that.There wasnt enuff time to train them well.It was all a mess.what cud be the major reason for their rejection singapore visa or confusion with the time of stay?They r going again to Chennai next month.Hope they get it this time

I don't think it would have been the Singapore Visa. Infact it good to say that they plan to visit Singapore for a month ON THEIR WAY BACK. So this way you are showing them that they have plans to leave USA (which is a major concern while issuing visitor visa).

Prepare a list of possible question and answers(as per your case) and let your parents go through that well in advance. Don't panick them at all. Show a very clam composure at the interview and things should go fine.

By the way I always thought that they would give the reason for rejection.
