  • does the port of entry matter?

    Hi,

I was in east coast when my parents applied and got the tourist visa.
All my financial documents they submitted have my east coast address.

My parents are flying soon to US and they will be entering through west coast since couple of months back, I have relocated to west coast

-Would it be a problem as my parents are entering the country using different port of entry than what was indicated on supporting documents (indirectly)?
-Is the long stay request letter mandatory(given on this site)?? if my parents request verbally for 6 months, wouldn't it do?? They have got 10 year multiple entry visa.

These may not be very important issues but I wanted to be sure.

    Please advice.

    Thanks,
    Shri

    Hi!

    Hi!
It shouldn't matter which port they enter from.

I think a verbal request would be ok. A letter I think is suggestive if parents can't communicate well in English else it's ok.
