Visa Re-application

All.

My mot-in-law visa got rejected and we've anohter appointment coming very soon. I have all the documents(sponsor+visitor) as mentioned on this website.

Apart from the above are there any extra tips/documents that I need to produce?

I also got a letter from local congress woman in US. Will it hurt(act negatively) in any case?

What was the reason of rejection last time?

They asked her about my educational qualifications, which she could not say it completely. i.e.

Consular officer wanted to know what year, which group and what college etc. for which she half answered the question.

Thats so ridiculous to reject a visa becoz mil didn't remmber abt sil's school history. Crazy people.

Anyways best prepare a question of all possible questions and answers to them based on your case. Give it to her well in advance so she has enough time to prepare and get comfortable with it. And ask her to be CONFIDENT. That helps a LOT.
