Visitor visa to L2 visa

Hi,

If we go to US on visting visa and later can we apply L2 dependent visa if needed..will it have any impact on dependent visa l2 if a person go on visitng visa..

can u pls help on this..

That is possible but why not go for L2 visa right away?
