Bringing my girlfriend to the U.S. with a B2

My girlfriend has been to the U.S. for two summers in a row on j-1 visas for work, but she won't be this next summer. We have been discussing her getting a travel/tourism B2 visa and heard that there should be an invitation letter. I know its not a good idea to write the letter myself, since I am her boyfriend, so I am planning on having my parents write the letter as a friendly invitation. What types of things should be included in this letter?
