  • Parents B2 VISA rejected

    Hi all,

I am little disappointed because my parents Visa got rejected. Could someone give any reasons based on your past experiences and it would be great if someone could let me know as to how I should be prepared for the next time?

This is what happened in the interview.

Counsler: Please give me the passport and DS-156

Counsler: Why are going to US?
Mom: To visit my son and tourism

Counsler: Who will take care of your property for 4 months?
    Mom: My brother

Counsler: How many children do you have?
    Mom: One

Counsler: Please give me the sponsor documents

Counsler flipped the documents for a sec and then gave back the passport and a slip with 214(b) checked in it.

He never asked my parents for any documents from their end. My mom is the one who knows English so she was responding to all questions, my dad never talked.

Please could someone guide me as to how I should be prepared next time. SHould I fix an appointment in my native language? or than that I am not sure what went wrong because from my end everything seems to be right. I am confused please guide me in this aspect.

Thank you all for your time.

I would suspect there is something not upto the point in sponsor documents.

        Review those again.

        Native language always helps.

        Good luck.

Well if that is the case why would he check 214b which says that he is not convinced that my parents enough ties back in India.

Most of the times VO's not even seeing sponsor documents.

After asking couple of questions they will issue 214B.

In your parents case it is different!

              Keep trying - good luck.
