Changing Sponserer details in DF156 after having a confirmed appointment

Hi All

Can I modify the sponserer details in DF156 form after having a confirmed appoinment.

I sent a email to vfs and there is no response from them.

Has anyone did it.

U can change most fields by going online. U can do it for a period of 1 month from initial date of submission.

I am not too sure thats why I am checking.....I have heard that NOT all fields are editable, is it true? If so any idea which are the fields that we need to take extra care while filling?

I believe that the first 14 columns are NON editable.

Vfs

Does VFS shares with US Consulate officer what you have filled up online in DS-156. I believe it is no.

VFS is just faciliator for appointment scheduling.

Along with scheduling VFS is also just helping you to fill it up online so that it can generate printed version(to reduce mis understanding in human writing).

This is just my (mis) -understanding. Do some thinking yourself.

Once the cofirmed appointment is done, do not try to change sponsor's details unless you are rescheduling. Write to vfs office about any material change you need to make before you do anything.
