  • B2 Visitor Visa

    Hi all,

My parents who are in their 60s are planning to visit us in the US next March. I am married and my husband is on H1B.
My aunts family (fathers sister) is already a citizen and staying here for more than 20 years.

We are living in Chicago and aunts family stays in Maryland.

My doubt is if my aunt is the sponsor for them for getting the visa, then should they land in Maryland first?? Or they can come to Chicago also.

I am expecting a child and it is that reason for which my parents are coming.

I want them to directly come here.

Please let me know what happens in general. I am quite confused.

    Regards,

Your parents can go directly to Chicago. Where the sponsor lives (other than in the U.S.) makes no difference and does not effect where your parents visit while here. They are not required to go to to the state the sponsor is at all unless that just happens to be part of their plans while visiting.

This is my opinion and not legal advice. Use of this information is strictly at your own risk.
