Leaving spouse in USA with B2 visa

Hi All,

I have planned to travel to USA on B2 Visa in Sep 2015. I am accompanied by my wife. As I have 3 weeks leave from my office I have to return on completion of 3 weeks. However my wife wants to stay in USA in her cousins and return on a later date.

Will I be allowed to return alone or my wife has to return along with me?
I am seeking your advise on how shall the information needs to be communicated with the POE officer or any alternatives??

Leaving spouse in USA with B2 visa

You each have separate visas and will have your individual I-94 dates. You are not required to travel together or at the same time. Your intent is to stay for a few weeks visiting before having to return for work and her's is to stay longer. If they were to issue you both for example a 6 month visit, you would leave when you need to, and she would be able to stay the remainder of the 6 month period.
