Visitor Visa -help needed

I'm a GC holder. Will start to stay in US permanently. I used to take care my parents and we used to live together.

They are holding a visitor visa with mutiple entry and six-month stay. I am planning to take them to the states and live together. I supposed that they need to leave US every six months and return for a stay of another six months. Do they need to go back to the country of origin every time ? Could they just go to any other country (except Canada, I supposed), and come back ?

Beisdes, if they apply for an extension, how long would the extension normally be ? Do they need any specific reason to get the extension ? Is it possible to apply for a 2nd extension ?

I don't think it would be a problem for your parents for the first 6 months, or one extension but later they sure would question their return or extension and you would need to validate it.

The B1/B2 is not intended for extended stays. You may be granted one extension, but there will be no more after that.

Furthermore, if they are seen to be spending more than six months in a year in the United States, they can be turned back at immigration.

Since the B1/B2 is not intended for extended stays, any such stay can be seen to be visa abuse, and the visa can be summarily cancelled by the Immigration official.

In that case, if they keep on leaving US in Six months interval and then come back, say like, in two weeks time. Would that be OK ?

May be if they do it once it would be ok but they keep repeating it then they may be questioned.
