  • B1/B2 Tourist visa - need immediate help

    Hi,

I have a B1/B2 visa valid till 2016, i once visited US on official purpose in 2006 which was sponsered by my company. Now my wife will be travelling to US on her own Valid B1/B2 visa on an official visit, so i want to take this oppurtunity to visit to visit her as a tourist, during her stay there. I am planning to travel for almost 10 days there, i would be buying both to and fro tickets by myself and the entire trip will be self sponsered, nothing to do with my wife official visit, only thing that i would be using is her hotel room as i am planning to stay with her, so i will not be booking any hotel rooms during my stay. It would be really helpful if someone can help me answer few of my below queries -

    1. Do i need to carry any documents with me apart from my to & fro air tickets and passport with valid visa
    2. Do i need to carry any financial documents to show them, how will i support myself during my stay there
    3. What should i tell the immigration officer about my stay (hotel bookings) coz i will not have any, as i will eb staying with my wife
    4. Do i need to provide them details of my wife, her name, passport details, hotel etc
    5. Do they ask whereall i am planning to travel during my stay in US

it will be great if someone can help me with these as i am in a dilemma due to these questions about my travel.

    Regards,
    Kaushik

If both of you are traveling together, only one of you will have hotel booking in their name.
This is my opinion and not legal advice.
