If it doesn't have your name on it then how does it state that it is your birth certificate. I would assume that you would have to have your name on it, not too sure if it is ok without your name.

Its definitely NOT ok without name on BC! The purpose of BC is to verify that you are the son/daughter of x & y. If there is no name for u, then there is no point. Never heard of having a BC without name :-)

In the past BC's were issued w/o name. It had parents names alone. In your case, u can go to the local Collector office, show them the BC u have & they'll verify the records & issue u a new BC with name on it. Its a small process & it took about 10 days to get mine done.
