  • DS-156 and I-94. Are they related?

    Hi

My parents are planning to come in february. When they went for their interview my father got just one month leave so he had put length of stay as 1 month in both of their Ds-156 forms. Now he has been granted 2 months leave and they are planning to stay here for 2 months. Is it ok to tell the officer at the port of entry that they will be staying for 2 months. Will the officer verify his DS156(electronically or something) and ask why mentioned 1month in his DS156 and wants to stay for 2 months?. Please help me.

    Thanks

There is no prob in changing. I hope I got you right......that you had mentione dduration of stay as 1 month on your DS 156 during your interview and got the visa, now you would like to stay for 2 months and on your I94 you want to request for 2 months???? If this is what you meant then there is NO problem at all. You can do it. If the officer at the port of entry asks you why you need 2 a 2 month stay.
