Please Suggest: Interview in Malayalam or English

Hi
I would like to know if it is possible to fix an appointment in english for my parents. My dad speaks english well but my mom doesn't speak english. WOuld this be a problem. Can i schedule an appointment in english or should i go for an interview in malayalam?

Its ok as far as the officer don't ask anything to the mother. But think abt all possibilities. If she can't answer to any qn, then she will be asked to come back again by taking another appt.

You can take appointment in any language. Only one parent should answer all questions on any language you take. Malayalam is overbooked in Chennai and you may not find a closer date before June.

Malayalam is one of the most regional languages applicants try to get and the staffing is very limited. Consulates are trying to have more interpreters available for major applying regional launguages and hopes the difficulty in getting local appointments will improve with that.

Hi,
I want to apply for atourist visa for my parents. I paid the required amount (2 * $100) at the HDFC bank formy parents. Now i am trying to get an interview appointment date for my parents through the VFS web site. My question is - How will a get the same appointment date for my mom and dad through the website? Where can i mentiuon that the appointment is for two people and not one?

I would appreciate any help and suggestions.

I came across your post in this thread saying that you fixed an appointment for your parents. COuld you please let me know how to fix an appointment for two people? Did you do that through the VFS website or at a visa centre in India?

I paid the required amount for two people and got the HDFC receipts and now i'm trying to schedule an appointment for my parents thnrough VFS web site.

Yes U can book together

Hi

U can pay the fees together and once u have the receipt number of both of them and their passport info handy. apply online in VFS.
Once u enter one of your parents information , it will ask if u need to add another. That time enter your other parents information.
It will take automatically most of the information (address) from the first form you entered.
Make sure u add :Persons traveling with you . in both the forms. (ie on husbands aplication enter wife's name an
You will get same date and time for both the applicants and viceversa)

It s always good to go together for the interview.
