Visa Appt - Travel Agent

Hello all experienced people here, please help me on a qn. I am trying to book a appt for my parents who live in Chennai at Chennai consulate. I see that the earliest I could see the appt is only in June. I am due for my baby in July so still trying for this. The DD was taken yday so waiting for it to be activated. Meanwhile here are my qns:

1) Would getting a travel agent help to speed up the appt. in any way? If yes should the agent be from Chennai or here? Are they genuine?

2) It is my understanding from this website that since my parents live in Chennai they have to take appt. only from Chennai but not anywhere else like Kolkata even if they show some early appt.s . Is this correct? Is there any scope for early appts? Please help. Thanks

Hi!

1) don't think any travel agent can help you get an earlier date.

2) they will have to go to Chennai Consulate. They can attend else where ONLY in case of emergency travel (btn pregnancy is not considered an emergency case)
