Got H1-B visa and still in India, but want to apply B2 for mother
Hi,
My situation is little different than all so creating a new thread.
I recently got H1-B visa stamping done (Nov 5). My wife is pregnant and is expecting baby in December.
I plan to travel to US in January 2016. (it is very difficult for me to leave my one month baby)..
I am planning to bring my wife, baby and mother in April/May, 2016.
So, I applied for B2 visa for my mother even thought I am in India, by providing supporting documents with Salary statements from Indian company (which I resigned now) and Bank statement with over 4L cash in Indian bank account.
What are the possibilities for my mother getting B2 visa?
Is it OK if she says my son will be travelling to US in Jan and she will travel with her daughter-in-law in April and spend time with baby?
Forgot to mention that my father expired in April 2015.
My mother Visa Interview is on December 11th and OFC is on Nov 27.
Would it be better if I postpone the Interview to April, 2016 so that I could have Bank statements from USA and pay stubs from US company?
Please advice.
