            congratulations.
my father is attending his interview on apr 5th. he is retired from army. i needed to know some info from u (as ur father in law is also retired from army)
while filling the D157 form what have u filled for" do u have specialized skills or training in firearms, nuclear arms etc".
they have asked about last 2 employers, have u entered indian army as one( i could not fill ph no for that and also supervisor's name..if not given this info the form doesnt get to "continue")
what all docs regarding army had u submitted?
please let me know about this, i am confused about it.
            thanks in advance.

              Ds-157

He entered correct info in DS-157 to best of his knowledge. Did not submit any documents relating to army. He had one document about last Job before retiring.

              1. The last 2 employers before retiring were entered. For Army - Did not remember Telephone number so entered 91-00-00. Did not remember supervisor, so entered Commissioner.

              2. Do You Have Any Specialized Skills or Training, Including Firearms,Explosives, Nuclear, Biological, or Chemical Experience?
              PISTOL, RIFLE

              2. Have You Ever Performed Military Service?
INDIA, INDIAN AIRFORCE, CORPORAL, xx 19xx TO xx 19xx

              3. Have You Ever Been in an Armed Conflict, Either as a Participant or Victim?
              1965 - INDO PAK WAR, 1971 - BANGLADESH WAR

I think the deciding factor are reasons for visiting, any remaning children in India and age of applicant(>60 better). In my case the reason was Easter get-together and visiting the city we live for a period of 4 months.
My Parents also have 10 year Visa and the reason was similar.
