Student Sponsor Parent visit???

Hi, I am really new to the forum. so i don't know if there is a previous post concerning this question.
but i am currently a enrolled college student, and I want to sponsor my dad to come over to the US to attend my graduation ceremony. I am a permenant resident of the states(green card holder) I checked out couple sites for required documentations. the only thing that worries me is the bank statement...how much do you actually have to have in the bank to bank to be considered capable of supporting the visitor? Honestly, my parents are still supporting me, is there any way around it?

There is no set amount required to sponsor someone. Just enough to take care of the expenses while here.

If you are parents are supporting you, they can self sponsor themselves. You don't need to sponsor them.

I think if u can show $5000 which is the required am...u can sponsor ur father for the trip....I am in the same situation.My brother is a MS student at USA.He would like to invite my mom to usa for graduation ceremony by spionsoring her. What are the chances since I am also going o US in June(probably) and my broher is also palnning to call my mom in june for the graduation ceremony.Is i necessary o ell that i will also be flying gto US to my husband who is in Us .Also is it necessary to mention that her son inlaw( i.e my husband) is currently in US??
