Hi All,
I applied new passport for my son on 22-Dec-15. In the passport application I mentioned Place of Birth - "Bangalore". But the officer at Passport office at "A" counter changed it to Bengaluru which I did not notice. Without cross checking the details in the application and thinking that he has not made any changes with my application, I submitted the passport application.
I received the passport within a week on 31-Dec-2015 with place of birth "Bengaluru".
Birth certificate is issued by "Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike", whereas place of birth in passport is "Bengaluru". I understand the name of city is now changed to "Bengaluru".
I have my immigration petition I-130 in progress and also planning to apply for USA visitor visa.
With there by any issue in place of birth? Has any one faced similar problem?
