Visa sponsorship by son in India

Hello, I live in USA with my husband. Both I and my husband work here in USA. I want to invite my parents. I was going to sponsor my parents but along the process we realized that I do not have birth certificate (which is required to sponsor parents) and my passport has slightly different names for my parents (my father did not use his last name in passport but my passport has his last name) than what they have in their passport. My brother who lives in India and has same names for my parents as their passports is willing to sponsor visa for my parents.

What is better, my brother sponsoring the visa or I should sponsor? My brother also does not have birth certificate but as least all his documents have correct names of my parents. Both I and my brother have good funds to sponsor both my parents.

Please advise.

Your brother can sponsor. No matter who sponsor visa officer will evaluate each applicant individually.
