Mistake made while applying for B2

Hi,

My wife has her sister living in USA.
We both wanted to visit them during summer and applied for visa few days back.

We were confused and applied for (B1/B2) visa instead of just B2.

Is there a way to change it to just B2? What should we do now? should we apply for fresh visa?

It's same category.

All visas are stamped as B1/B2 and when you enter US , they stamp your passport with STATUS as either B1 or B2.
So, when you enter US, they will ask you what is your purpose and duration of your visit. and stamp accordingly.
