Visa Expired

12 months ago I applied for a Visa to assist me in coming to the US due to work. I have recently looked at my Passport and this is due to expire next week, even though I initially thought it would be for 2 years . Due to a minor conviction 20 years agao I initially had to come to the Embassy in London. I would like to renew this Visa as I am expecting to have to come to the US for work (Maximum stay 1 week).

Do I need to go through the same process again or is there a way in which I can do this renewal without visiting the embassy.
