Hi,I have applied for a b2 tourist visa and my interview in next week. I am a 27 year old female interested in travelling solo across Portland and California for about 3 weeks. Before this I have traveled across Europe and South Asia and visited London for work. This is the first time i am applying for a B2 and looking at the trend of rejection, it is worrying me. I am a researcher based in India and I work in one of leading research organisation in India for the last three years. I do not know anyone in the United States. Could anyone throw some light on the possibility of rejection in my case?

No body can predict the outcome but it all comes down to your ties to your country. If you do not have family that you need to come back it's a red flag. Also how appealing is your job, career wise and salary wise is another. Single young people are always seen as potential immigrants. If your job is secure and with good history of travel you might be fine.
