Interview Language - Info from consulate

I wanted to take an appointment for my mother , sister and nephew. My mother can only speak Telugu , Sister can speak fluent English. I wanted to book the Telugu slot because I was under the impression that if a question is asked to my mother her answer in Telugu cannot be translated to English by another family member attending the interview with her. I had got this impression from one of the answers that the site moderator gave sometime back to a similar question posed by someone.

Appointments for Telugu slots are currently unavailable so I wrote to the consulate whether I can book English slot as my sister can speak English and can translate to Telugu any questions asked to my mother and her answers
back to English. The consulate replied back that I could take English language appointment for them.

Just wanted to share this information with everyone here.
