What do you do? nature of business. where in USA? Any relatives? which university did you go to ?
Which all countries have you visited before ? some normal talks about a particular state and a football team and the golden words...
there were lot of rejections today probably every 4 out 5 were rejected. They are generous about F1 though.
My 2 cents : since you all do not intend to immigrate to USA please show you intent by visiting UK and Schengen countries and of course SE asia before applying for B1/B2
The interviewer had asked to multiple people if this is the first time you are going outside India and bang..
I am writing experience more about car parking since it was a pain
ALways park in the parking behind consulate or the bombay traffic police will clamp your vehicle.
for trade center (fingerprinting) no problems . take any car. Mobile also allowed. lots of parking available.
Keep all your belongings in the car. keys should not have a inbuilt remote control. hence older car preferred.
do not wear watches and any bracelets for a hassle free security checkin
there were 200 people at the slot for 9am,
Queue starts from 8 am as when I reached at 8:45 I was probably people may have started from 7:30 am. DOesnt matter. should reach by 9:00 plus 10 min ok , one doesnt has to stand in queue.
if you need a translator , expect 2-3 hours for the process as the queue is longer.
Do not expect washrooms outside consulate . Inside plenty of water and washrooms.
