applying for my spouse in The USA

I am almost done filling out all the forms for my spouse. He had applied about 19 years ago when he was married. he had two work permits and both permits show different A#(alien #), he separated from his wife before continuing the Ins process.
which number do i put for him as Alien #? or should i just leave it blank since those EADs expired many years ago?

We have lived together for many years, he finally divorced his exwife and we got married. we have a lot of pictures of the relationship,letters,cards.

Alien # you can leave blank. If visa officer ask provide more information at the time of interview.
