  • Disability of my wife

    I'm tourist visa holder in the US. i'm here to assist my wife that has a disability. she is a green card holder.

    she made a petition for me (i130) but i would like stay here with her. can i do status adjustment ? or continue the procedure without going back to my country ?

    You cannot adjust your status in the U.S. until your petition Priority Date becomes current, usually about two years after submitted.

      For now, you can extend your stay (only once per visit) for another 6 months.
