Visitor Visa for 1 year

My parents are coming to states this summer, and they want to stay for one year. They have been here before. Will they be able to get one year on their I-94. If they only get six months, will they be able to apply for an extention.

Even if the visa is granted for one year, it does'nt mean POE will give one year entry to us. Whatever period you will allowed to stay at a time in US ,if you stay beyond without proper extension approval, your future chances of getting visa is slim.
