DS-160 Previous Visa Date & Number

Hello guys!

I am currently filling the DS-160 form for non-immigrant Visa. There is a section about previous visits the USA. I was there in 2009 and was issued a Visa respectively. However, I can't find the date that Visa was issued, nor its number. The problem is my old passport (where that Visa was printed) has expired and I have returned it to the state authorities in my country (which I am currently not in ). Do you think I can write an approximate date of the previous Visa and then tell the interviewer that I am not certain about that information?

An approximate date may create problem for you, though they can track you based on your name & DOB, it will be shown that you are trying to hide certain information.

Call the local consulate & ask them this question.
