no receipt no even after 9 days of visa fee payment

I have paid the visa fees on april 5 and havent received the receipt number even after so many days. Have contacted their help desk but its not yet resolved. anyone faced similar problem?

Hi,

I have faced same thing before while applying visa for my wife and daughter. I paid online via NEFT Bank transfer. I have not received the "Receipt" even after several days.

Here what exactly happened. This may not be your case but if your case is similar then do what i did. okay

1. I paid on day x via NEFT.
2. I received the TEXT message from my bank that amount so and so deducted.
3. I waited for that day, thinking I will receive the "confirmation receipt" but nothing happened.
4. I waited couple of day thinking the receipt will come but it didn't.

Here is the problem. Did you noticed on above steps One step is missing. Whenever you do a NEFT transfer you get two messages 1st, at the time when amount got deducted from your account (this is immediate) 2nd message when amount got deposited in beneficiaries account (Usually in 2-3 hours).

In my case i haven't received the 2nd message. This means the money is still lying somewhere in Bank Pipeline awaited to be processed. The US consulates didn't get the money. After struggling a lot and making bank realized for their mistake. I finally got 2nd message after 5-6 days that amount has been deposited in beneficiaries account.

After getting that message I was able to book the appointment after 2-3 hours and Confirmation receipt got populated automatically in your profile.
