  • B1/B2 visa while filed K1 visa

    Hi everyone
I'm engaged to US citizen and he has applied for K1 visa a month ago and we are waiting for the NOA1. Is there any chance for me to get a tourist visa while waiting for K1 visa?
I've been rejected once already but I haven't mentioned about my fiance last time during the interview.
    Thanks a lot

Chances are pretty less. You'll be evaluated as potential immigrant & will be denied tourist visa.

Based on your rejected B2 in Feb and ongoing K1.. you are only 26 yrs old and unemployed.. a B2 visa is unlikely at this time. Have you and your fiance met in person?

You have so many threads going..

Sorry to sound harsh, but you sound desperate for a US visa. What country are you in?

I'm definitely not desperate ..I thought this is a discussion forum, that's why I'm asking whatever I'm interested in. You know that K1 visa is a long process, we have to wait long..I have met my fiance thrice in a year and he is coming in May again for the fourth time. I just feel bad because every time he's leaving his job for a month or more just to come and see me. I wanted to use a tourist visa so as I will come to US and he wouldn't have to leave everything again. But unfortunately it seems impossible. so sorry if my questions disturbed you. As everyone here, me too just impatient to start my family with my beloved one Anyways thanks for the attention and good luck everyone

Nothing disturbing to anyone here.. those who respond to each other's queries try their best to be realistic. The fact remains that 3 visa attempts in a short time period would likely appear desperate to a visa officer. You mentioned K1 is a "long process"; it is. However many immigrants wait far longer overseas to be with their loved ones in the US; K1 is relatively quicker.

a K1 petition shows immigrant intent, which is likely to further hinder a B2 attempt. But you certainly can try for a B2 again. Wish you the best!
