  • Applying for B2. Just need little help..Please, its urgent.

    Hello everyone,

I am 31 years old, unmarried, PhD scholar in india. My research paper was selected for a conference to be held in Washington. They informed me just a day back and the conference is on 21st May 2016. I am applying for visa now. I have around 2 lacs in bank account. I have following questions-
    1. Will it make any difference in visa interview date if i put my interview language as hindi/english?
    2. I am also planning to have some time with my college friend who lives near Washington (the friend is married). Should i mention this plan in the visa application?
    3. What are the chances of getting the visa within such a short time?

Any help will be appreciated. Please contribute.

    1. No.

    2. Be truthful. Your main objective for going is your conference.

    3. Time has nothing to do with it. If you have a legitimate case and can prove it to the satisfaction of the consulate, you will get a visa.
