Yesterday I checked the availability for Telugu appointment and found that June 27th 2006 was available. I have filled all the applications DS-156 & DS-157 and got a screen asking me whether I need to add another appplicant and some more buttons (cancel appointment,save application & exit, confirmation). As I need to enter my mothers details I have clicked the button 'Add another applicant'. From here I could not proceed further and I am continously getting the error message 'General network error.Check your network documentation' with some scripting language. I checked trying other websites and I was able to connect. So it is clear that there are no network issues with the internet connnection that I have.
I tried to open the application that I saved and clicked on 'Continue for confirmation' but no hopes. Again I got the same error message. What ever I tried to do I got the same error message.
Today I open the saved application and then tried to add another applicant. Now I got a message 'No appointment dates are available'. When I clicked on Save & Exit, it throwed a message 'The application will be saved for 30 days and there on it will be deleted'.
With this I understood that even I didnt get the appointment for my father also. Did any one faced the similar issue? I have sent an email to chennai non-immigrant visa team on the issue that I have faced and waiting for their reply.
Not sure who is responsbile for all VFS site errors. We are constantly checking the site and whenever it is avaialble we are trying to book but unfortunately because of the many issues with the site we could not proceed further.
My father's application is saved in the website. So next time when the dates are available I would be able to quickly book the date for him. At this time if I choose to add another applicant (for my mother) and then start entering the details I might loose this as typing the details takes quite good amount of time.
Can I just go ahead and confirm for my father first and then come back and add my mother as another applicant?
or
Is there any way I can enter all my mother details in the applications and save them in the site so that whenever the dates are avaialable I will be able to book immediately.
