My mother and father both are aged 60 years (Indian citizens and resident). My mother retired from government job(state govt in India) and is getting around 35k Rs per month as pension, whereas father got an extension of 2 years(government servant in India) and earning around 12L per annum. The purpose of visit is to attend reception ceremony of my sister (got married in April in US to an american citizen).
We are planning to show last three year income tax returns of both (mom and dad) and choose to apply under SELF SPONSORED category of B2 visa. Additionally last three months salary slips of my fathers (showing salary). My query is that do we need to provide a letter/undertaking with sign from my father that he will be sponsoring my mother's visit?? He is not going presently due to some reasons, and we are applying for mother's visa only as of now.
