Visitors Visa fo Spouse

Hi All,

I am currently in H1B. My visa has expired,I have applied for an extension and received the receipt number. With my current VISA status , I can not apply for H4 dependent visa for my wife.

Is it possible/legal for her to come to USA with visitors visa and stay ? I will apply for her h4 dependency once my visa is approved ?

No!

Visitors visa is for short visits to the US.. with the expectation to leave the US at the end of the visit.
