Time limit for first entry

Hi,
I am a new member but this site has been extremely helpful. Thank you.
My question relates to after getting the Tourist visa - 10 year multiple entry. Is there a period (like 6 months or something) within which the first trip to the USA has to be made. I heard some people insist there is such a rule, but I have not seen it in writing anywhere nor on this website. (This would be the first time the person is travelling outside India)
Could you please advise?

Hi, There is no time limit for the first visit. You can enter the US anytime during the validity of your visa. Hope this helps.....
