Unable to Reschedule the appointment for B2 visa

Hi all,

My mom has an appointment in July . I guess , with the receipt number we can reschedule the date for once . Yesterday , there was an avialability in June . So, I was trying to reschedule , but when I select Reschedule / Cancel appointment tab in https://www.vfs-usa.co.in/Home.aspx site , Its not showing any date in June . Whereas if I click on "Click here for an estimate of current availability of visa interview appointments. " , i was showing a date in june .
Is there any other way to reschedule ?

Need help immediately please .

Per VFS site, one cannot change appointment date to earlier date without first canceling their current appointment and re-entering the information on their application.

Per some of the users of this forum, they ere able to change the date to earlier date.

Per an email communication from VFS and also the FAQ no. 5 of VFS website, we cannot prepone an existing appointment (postpoing an existing appointment is possible though). I have also been trying hard to do this but, with no success so far.
However, since some people were able to prepone successfully, it makes me believe that this feature was present earlier but has now been taken off.
