  • How to ask for visitor visa if I have family in the US?

Well short story, last March I went to the embassy for my Visitor Visa appointment, I am a 20 years old, student of a short college career(3 years), I lived in Canada for 4 months studying french(I got Canadian Visa) and well I decided to apply for Visitor visa with VISITOR PURPOSES.

    Now the facts:
From where I am from(Venezuela) there is a high rejection rate due to country issues, economical issues, political issues, etc. Also too one of my aunt uncle and their son(my cousin) went last year to seek for asylum there. They are now legal there under asylum. That was placed in November - 2015, and well I went for a visa in March 2016 to Visit them, under any way I DO NOT want to stay in the US, I want to finish my studies and be a professional. Well in the appointment the agent asked me "Who are you traveling with?" and me, being real honest said "With my partner" He looked at me and said like "Aren't you traveling with your family?" and I was like no, because on my short plans there wasnt anything involving my family, but I think that was my mistake, that at my age is more likely to stay illegal if you travel with your partner than with your family, so probably I failed on that question or we missunderstood. So well now the reality is another, just 3 days ago my brother got his green card due to my nephew which was worn in NY, so now I dont know what to do when I appoint my new date, I got my aunt with asylum, and now my brother and his wife with permament resident visa, I will be completely honest in the way that I will visit them, but I dont know how to convince the agent that I will not stay. Any advice? Thanks!!

Well I didnt even get to that part with the agent(He only asked me about my travel, not my roots) I have a good financial status for my age, also too this year I opened a company with my partner.. And well as I said I am doing a high technician in computing.. I am on the half of the career!!

Pd: I didn't clarify, I STUDIED in Canada for 4 months, Im not anymore in there. And I apply for a visa here in Venezuela, the agent looked at my Canadian Visa and told me "Oh! You got a Canadian visa!" And I answered him yes I do, in that moment I thought it was a plus.. But well I was wrong
