Reapply while under administrative processing for B2 visa

Am I able to reapply for the B2 visa while being under administrative processing section 221 g for about 3 months.
I have a very serious need to be in US in 2 months for my wife's delivery...but my application is under administrative processing for more than 2 months. I have now got a medical letter for my wife's delivery date from US hospital

So with this I am thinking of reapplying.......From US embassy the information i got is that if i reapply it might complicate my application and they also said it would lead to cancellation of my first application and new application would be filed which may or may not by put under administrative processing.

Hence I am confused!!!

Has any one done something similar to this before?? would the letter from the US hospital give me any chance of getting the visa ASAP or not???? are there any issues in it or cancellation of the previous application has to be done? if so then who should do it and from where?

Lastly.......Should I go for it??

You should not reapply. You would just need to wait for them to complete administrative processing.

Any letter or document regarding your wife's pregnancy is not going to help.

While AP is pending, all subsequent visa applications would automatically land in AP. A million letters from doctors\hospitals\friends\cousins\congressmen, etc do not sway visa officers.

OK so that means I am trapped in a position from where I cannot do anything...The receptionist at the embassy of US told me that I can reapply but my previous application will be void and new application would be initiated. But will I get the visa then or no or will be put under AP is not known to anyone.

My wife is a green card holder...But why us ask that? Can she contact congressman/senator about my case and get some assistance?

Do you have an I130 pending? Those make a tourist visa hard to obtain.

no i have only this visit visa application with US embassy and other application. I am thinking of contacting the senator but I am confused as to who should contact them????Me or my wife who is US?

Please can you let me know if you decided to reapply? I'm also under administrative review and its been almost 3 months. I'm thinking of reapplying but can't tell if people have had any success with it. Thanks very much.
