Hi, I am a 23-year-old female from India and currently planning to travel to the US for tourism purposes and to meet a few friends in October. I have the invitation letters and all the supporting documents. I have never traveled abroad before this. My Visa appointment date is for Monday (25-09-2016) at the Hyderabad consulate. Could you please help me out on what some of the prospective questions that I can be asked by the consulate?

They will want to know the purpose and details of your visit and they will be looking for strong ties to home country. Strong ties to home country would be things like spouse and children, owning property, strong job / business, and anything that would show probability of return to home country. At this time your chances of being approved for a B1/B2 visa are not very good. You are young, probably do not have strong ties to home country at this age, have never traveled abroad and are coming from India. India is a high immigration risk country for the U.S. Also, your purpose for visiting is not going to be considered very strong. All anyone can do is apply. Just be sure to have all of the details of your visit and plans.Originally posted by Ruby93 View PostHi, I am a 23-year-old female from India and currently planning to travel to the US for tourism purposes and to meet a few friends in October.
